Are you or a loved one struggling with addiction but can’t afford the care you need? Has a treatment facility ever turned you away because you didn’t have the required addiction insurance coverage? The solution you’ve been looking for can be as simple as signing up for a comprehensive insurance plan during Open Enrollment.
Addiction Insurance
Navigating the health care marketplace and finding an insurance policy that fits your needs can be a confusing and daunting experience. We’re here to help you navigate the tangled world of insurance coverage – everything from deductibles, co pays and other services to the cost of each, and the benefits of using an out-of-network provider.
In order to get the most out of your insurance coverage, you’ll need to choose the right plan. The vast majority of drug and alcohol treatment facilities only accept PPO policies with out-of-network benefits. PPO policies are usually a bit more expensive than HMO plans, however, PPO plans offer a much wider range of service providers and usually include out-of-network coverage for substance abuse.
You’ll also want to select an insurance plan that will provide you the maximum insurance benefit possible. That means selecting a policy with a high tiered ‘metal.’ For example, a platinum insurance plan may cost more than a bronze plan, however, the platinum plan will be accepted at more facilities and with a significantly higher coverage amount.
