Upon entering Morningside Addiction Recovery, each resident will:

1. Be assessed for detoxification needs. If it is determined that detoxification is necessary:

a. Clients will be directed to the Morningside Recovery detoxification facility.

b. If a Suboxone® detoxification is necessary, clients will be treated at the Morningside Recovery detoxification facility.

c. Detoxification lasts anywhere from 3 to 5 days, after which the resident will be brought back to Morningside Recovery to begin his/her treatment.

d. If Opiate detoxification is needed, the time frame for safe medical stabilization may be longer.

2. Meet with a treatment intake coordinator to fill out the necessary paperwork and go over any important information, such as personal rights, grievance procedures, rules and regulations, etc. Each resident receives a Client Handbook which details Morningside’s procedures, rules and regulations, as well as emergency information.

3. Each resident begins treatment as soon as they arrive, attending all groups, meetings, and lectures on their addiction treatment program.

4. Within the initial stages of drug addiction treatment, residents meet with our Psychiatrist and Nurse Practitioner for a psychiatric evaluation and medication evaluation.

5. Within the first week, residents meet with their assigned Addiction Case Manager for a one-on-one session. During this session a biopsychosocial evaluation is conducted and an initial clinical interview is completed. At this time, a weekly conference schedule is set in order to discuss treatment plans, progress, and any other issues the client may be facing.
